AFTERNOON tea will be served during a care home open day in Calne as it opens its doors to the local community.

On Saturday, April 21, Kingston House Care Home will be opening it’s doors with a range of entertainment for all age groups to enjoy during it’s open day and The Queen’s birthday.

To mark the beginning of the open day, ‘The Queen’ - one lucky resident - will arrive by car to the sound of a brass band at 10am, and all guests will be welcomed with a glass of fizz.

Afternoon tea will be served throughout the day, accompanied by live music. Residents will share their stories of meetings with the Royal Family and photos of British landmarks will be on display, and those who have commemorative cards from The Queen will happily show them off.

If the weather is nice, residents, staff and guests can play croquet on the lawn and other games.
