EASTER activities are well and truly underway as kids from Derry Hill went on a hunt for Easter bunnies yesterday (Sunday, March 25).

Organised by charity preschool Rub-A-Dub, the hunt saw children on the look out for bunnies with special eggs containing a letter. At the end of the trail they had to spell out a word with the letters they collected to be in with the chance of winning a chocolate egg.

Fundraising co-ordinator at Rub-A-Dub Preschool, Nicola Heath, said: "We had an amazing day. The weather was positively spring-like and even had a bit of sun popping through.

"We had 90 little people come through and take part in the event which was absolutely wonderful, and we raised over £150 for our little preschool.

"Every bit of fundraising we do goes directly back into the preschool to buy new resources and provide funded trips for the children.

"We would like to thank Tesco in Calne who donated some of our chocolate eggs."

Rub-A-Dub have also organised a Scarecrow trail through the village for the first time, which will take place on April 28 10am-4pm starting and ending at the Lansdowne Village Hall. For more information, please email: rubadubfundraising@gmail.com.
