Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and One Piece collectors can now check recent selling prices with a new free eBay tool.
UK trading card collectors can now get a better idea of what their cards are worth without having to trawl through completed listings, thanks to a new price guide launched by eBay.
It covers popular trading card games including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Disney Lorcana.
The new tool uses recent, verified sales data from eBay.co.uk, allowing collectors to scan cards and see comparable transactions.
And there are some eye-catching sums involved in the market.
A 2000 Pokémon Gym Challenge 1st Edition Booster Box sold for £37,000 in April 2026, while a serialised The One Ring Magic: The Gathering card sold for £19,850 in January 2025.
These are individual completed sales and do not mean similar cards will necessarily command the same price.
Condition, grading, rarity and demand can all have a major impact on value.
The new eBay price guide is designed to give collectors access to that market information before buying or selling.
How eBay's card price guide works
Collectors using the latest version of the eBay app can go to My eBay and select “Scan cards” from the Shortcuts menu.
They can then use their smartphone camera to scan raw or selected graded trading cards.
The tool can:
- Identify cards and find relevant comparable sales
- Show up to two years of eBay sales data
- Include accepted Best Offer prices
- Display sales data updated within the previous 24 hours
- Allow users to compare sold and active listings
- Show PSA and CGC population report data to help assess rarity
The price guide is free to use, with no subscription fee or usage limits for UK eBay account holders using the latest version of the app.
The service began rolling out to UK users on September 1 across the app and desktop.
Trading cards have become a significant part of eBay's collectables business, with the company saying collectables were its largest contributor to global GMV growth in the second quarter of 2026.
Interest in Pokémon remains particularly strong.
eBay says UK users searched for “Pokémon” more than six million times in July 2026, while the term was searched more than 105 times per minute on average during 2025.
Interest in One Piece has also jumped, with searches on eBay.co.uk rising 55% month-on-month in January 2026 ahead of the second season of Netflix's live-action adaptation.

The price guide could prove particularly useful for collectors who have old cards tucked away and want to find out whether they have significant value.
However, the figures shown are market insights based on completed eBay transactions, rather than guaranteed valuations.
A card's actual selling price can vary depending on its condition, grade, rarity and current demand.
