Edwards–Tibbs

THE marriage of musician Joe Edwards and waitress Beth Tibbs took place at St Matthews Church, Rowde on June 9.

Beth is the youngest daughter of Lorretta Mansell of Calne and Kevin Tibbs of Lea and was attended by her sister Larni Maidment and school friend Charlotte Duncan. She is the step-daughter of Steve Lines and Denise Ducker.

Joe, the eldest son of Robert and Lesley Edwards of Devizes, had two best men, his brother Alex and school friend Robert Scratchley.

His ushers were school friends Jon Sanigar and Alan Dodge, the bride’s brother-in-law Luke Maidment and the bride's brother Jason Tibbs, who also took the role of Master of Ceremonies.

Sadly the original VW Campervan due to transport the bride to the church was stolen weeks before the wedding.

However, due to the kindness of Karen and Ed Tudge, who noticed a Facebook plea to find the camper, Ed came to the rescue by driving the bride and her parents to church in his own vintage VW Campervan.

The bridesmaids were driven in a 1956 Vauxhall Velox by the bridegroom's grandfather Meryvn Edwards, who owns the vehicle. The bridegroom arrived on a restored 1972 Puch Maxi moped.

The reception was held at the Rowdey Cow Ice Cream Parlour and Café where the bride works. The couple have made their home in Rowde but are planning to travel extensively in South East Asia.
