Summer Solstice celebrations at Stonehenge have had to be called off yet again - but that doesn't stop us from enjoying a bit of a throwback.

The decision comes as a result of the delay to Stage 4 of the Government's roadmap which left organisers "with no choice" but to cancel the popular event.

Despite the disappointing news, this year just like the one before, the sunset and sunrise will be live-streamed from the monument for free so those who had hoped to attend don't miss out altogether.

Although virtual celebrations won't be the same, with the rollout of the vaccine reaching more and more people, it is hoped future events will no longer be affected.

As the 2021 summer Solstice won't be going ahead, we've put together a photo gallery of past celebrations which we hope you'll enjoy.

The photos range from 2019 all the way back to 1977!
