Police investigating the mystery death of 17-year-old Lorna Gibbison, whose body was found at the side of Alexander House in Fleming Way, Swindon, on Monday, say she died of injuries consistent with a fall.
A police spokesman said today: "A post mortem examination carried out by a Home Office Pathologist at Southmead Hospital, Bristol has revealed that Lorna Gibbison died from multiple injuries, consistent with a fall.''
The teenager, who only moved out of her family home in Bishopstone to a rented home in Frobisher Drive, Swindon, ten days before her death, was last seen leaving The Harrow pub in Wanborough, at 10.30pm on Friday night.
She had worked there as a waitress for two weeks. Police are still not sure where she went afterwards.
Superintendent Richard Rowland: "We have had a good response to our appeal for information but we still need to piece together Lorna's movements.
"We need to know, and Lorna's family need to know what happened to her. If you saw Lorna or witnessed anything suspicious at all in vicinity of Alexander House and nearby pubs and clubs, we need to hear from you.
"We know that thousands of revellers were out and about over the weekend in pubs and clubs and in the close proximity of where Lorna was found.
"It is feasible that someone may have seen or spoken to Lorna. Please do not assume your information is not important or that someone else may have told us. If you know something please do not be afraid to come forward.'' An Incident Room has been set up at Gablecross Police Station under the name Operation Devon, led by Detective Superintendent Stephen Hedley.
Police are urging anyone with information to call them on 0845 408 7000 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
