THERE is no excuse for staff and pupils for not staying fit at Kingsbury Green Academy in Calne, as they have a brand new fitness suite.
PE teacher David Hamill, said: "The new facility is appealing both to keen sports students and to those who don’t enjoy the traditional sports curriculum.
“Exercise not only improves physical health and fitness, but it is also good for mental wellbeing. As PE teachers, our role is to encourage and enable all students to enjoy exercise.
"The suite, which has Tornado air bikes, rowing machines, treadmills and more, is open to students who want to improve their fitness, whether they already engage in team sports or not.
“Some students play sport at quite a high level, and use the suite to improve their fitness and performance. Other students, who don’t enjoy team sports or other curricular activities, also use the fitness suite as they can choose equipment that suits them.
"This suite also gives our sports science classes, sports teams and staff, access to a facility of excellence."
