A CAR smashed into an electricity pole and landed on its nose after a crash in the early hours of this morning
The incident happened at around 1.10am on the B4040 Malmesbury Road, near Leigh. No one was injured.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving without a licence or insurance. She is currently in police custody.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire fire and rescue service said: “Due to its position and damaged electricity pole and cables crew remained on scene providing a safety area until arrival of electricity board.”
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “The road was closed to allow recovery of the vehicle and for repairs to be made to the electricity pylon.”
