Children’s charity Barnardo’s has arranged a special event for Wiltshire supporters this month.
Staff will talk about their local work while fundraisers explain how people can join their campaigns.
The event will be held at Grittleton House on Tuesday October 16 from 11am until 1.30pm.
It includes a buffet lunch and refreshments, as well as a special visit from a new mobile mechanics course which supports young people not in education, employment or training.
The event is free but places must be booked in advance.
Barnardo’s fundraiser Emma Poingdestre, from Colerne, said: “We want to thank people for their support in the past, and share what we hope to achieve in the future.
“Guests will learn more about the charity’s fascinating history and heritage, as well as the local services we provide for vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
"The event includes an inspiring personal account from a ‘Barnardo’s boy’ who spent time as a child in one of our former homes, and then we bring people up to date with a presentation from our local projects.
"The aim is to highlight the importance of gifts left to Barnardo’s in wills and explain how every donation, no matter how large or small, can impact on our future work.”

Locally, Barnardo’s South West manages Sure Start children’s centres in Corsham and Calne, together with a nursery and a family support service in Chippenham.
