With the Olympics behind us, many who spend more time on the sofa than in the gym may be feeling inspired to try out a new exercise routine.
Running group the Chippenham Harriers is holding a beginners’ club for those who are more ‘Slow’ Farah than Mo Farah.
The Harriers’ successful nine-week programme is aimed at people who have either run in the past and want to make a come-back, or complete beginners looking for a new activity to help them get fit. The sessions are led by Leaders in Running Fitness, qualified and insured by UK Athletics to provide a safe and enjoyable running experience for adults of all ages or ability, size or shape. The programme starts on September 7 at 6.30pm at the Chippenham Sports and Social Club. For those who can already run 5k and are looking to increase their distance, a pack run departs at the same time.
