Hardenhuish School students matched their best ever results at A-level this year, with a pass rate of 99 per cent, including 55 per cent of grades A* to B.

Head Jan Hatherell said the results were down to teachers, parents and students all working hard.

“There are so many success stories – not just those who achieved all A* results, but those who beat their own personal targets too,” she said.

For the third year running, students at Sheldon School’s sixth form in Chippenham are celebrating results that are amongst the best in the country - 43 per cent achieved at least one A grade; 26.2 per cent of grades were As or A*s. 60.2 per cent were B grades or above. Only three of the 500 A level entries resulted in U grades.

Head of sixth form Michael Seeley said: “We had some brilliant results, and we’re so proud of our students.”
