Devizes branch of Cancer Research UK is hoping to add several thousands of pounds to its fight against the disease from its third country house car boot sale, due to take place on May 19.

The charity has raised well in excess of £10,000 from the event since it was first staged at Manor Farm, Stert, near Devizes, in May 2010.

Branch chairman Clive Boyes, who lives in Stert, said: “We’re doing the car boot sale again on the strength of its success, not only as a happy fundraiser for us, but because the sellers report great trading, and from the positive comments we receive from the buyers, who are usually heavily laden with chattels.

“It’s great fun for us to organise and we cannot thank the Edwards family enough for their wonderful support in allowing us to use their beautiful farm for the site of the car boot sale of the year.”

All pitches are £25 each, regardless of the size of vehicle. Entry for buyers is £5 per car from 8.30am on the day. To book a pitch and for more information, visit www.devizescruk.org or call 07831 376688.
