Former England cricketer and Gloucestershire stalwart Jon Lewis trained sports students at a north Wiltshire secondary school this week.
The bowler put pupils at Grittleton House School through their paces on Tuesday to help the team prepare for their next season.
Headmaster Nathan Dawes said: “We’ve been very lucky to get the services of highly experienced cricketer Jon Lewis.”
Lewis, 36, was brought up in Swindon and played for Swindon CC and, in Minor Counties cricket, for Wiltshire County Cricket Club in 1993.
In July 2011, after 16 years with Gloucester-shire, it was announced that Lewis was to join Surrey on a two year deal.
Mr Dawes said: “We have a long tradition of good cricket. In pretty much every year group we have at least one pupil playing district or county level and hopefully this will launch us into the next level.”
