St Cyriac's Church in Lacock is holding two weeks of events to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and London Olympics.

The programme, from Saturday, May 12, until Sunday, May 27, is designed to involve people of all ages and community groups in the village.

Called Flame of Hope, events will include a puppet theatre, an evening with scientist Mark Brake and rapper Jon Chase, a pub quiz, an evening for the ladies entitled Better Than Chocolate, and more yet to be announced.

The launch on May 12 will include a performance by a Ugandan choir and the event will conclude on May 27 with a songs of praise and thanksgiving service.
