A hospital is not the usual place anyone would expect to see exclusive pieces of artwork, but the Great Western Hospital in Swindon is bucking the trend.
Its ground floor is now home to exclusive work from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
On display until September 13, the exhibition is entitled Transformations: Digital Prints from the V&A Collection, and features work from artists who use computers as an expressive and experimental medium.
The exhibition is part of a project by Paintings in Hospitals, a charity established in 1959 that uses art and creativity to reduce anxiety and stress in hospitals.
Jane Coleborn, chief pharmacist and chairman of the arts committee at GWH, said: “The Trust is very proud to have the exhibition.
“All of the prints featured have never been exhibited outside of the V&A and, for some of the artwork, this will be the first time it has been displayed.
“We are extremely grateful to Paintings in Hospitals and the V&A Museum for arranging this exhibition.”
