Libraries in Box and Ramsbury will be extending their opening hours from April 14.

In Box, an extra morning session from 10am–noon on a Wednesday is being added to the current opening hours.

At Ramsbury the library will start opening on a Saturday from 10am-noon.

Since last September volunteers have been involved in running both libraries, helping customers to borrow books using the self-service technology and supporting them in accessing the public computers and finding new reading material.

The new morning session at Box library will allow the local primary school pupils to visit on more than one morning a week after the Easter holidays.

In Ramsbury, extending the opening hours beyond the working week proved to be a popular suggestion with people in the village who are unable currently, due to work and family commitments.

The changes mean opening hours at Box will increase from 12 to 14 hours a week and from 10 to 12 hours at Ramsbury.
