Roadworks were due to start in West Lavington this week that are likely to continue until July.
Initially, not too much disruption is expected to be caused to traffic along the A360 between Devizes and Salisbury while a new storm drainage system is installed in Duck Street.
But when road resurfacing begins in May, the road will be limited to single-line working with temporary traffic lights. The road will also be closed in the evenings between 7pm and midnight.
These closures are due to take place from Monday to Thursday May 28 to 31, Thursday and Friday June 7 and 8, Monday and Tuesday June 11 and 12 and Tuesday June 19.
Diversions along the A342 and A345 will be in operation during these times.
