THE new Rowde primary school has received universal approval from pupils, parents, staff and villagers.
The school began lessons last week. The £2 million building was paid for by Persimmon.
Headteacher David Ball said: "I asked the children what they thought of the new school and their answers were terrific, fabulous, fantastic and cool.
"There is no comparison with the old school where the accommodation was cramped. Everyone who came to the open day was full of praise. I had no negative comments."
He asked parents not to park at the top end of Springfield Road as some residents had complained.
