I care not a flying fig for your film critic's review of The Queen (September 14) and I will venture to suggest that he misses the point.
To suggest How Blair saved the Queen from infamy' is complete balderdash.
The majority of the country's film critics are giving this film more than modest praise not only for Helen Mirren's portrayal of the Queen (best actress award) but also the script (best script award).
I get the impression that your man may be a Republican.
That does not excuse the undignified and disrespectful way he refers to Ms Mirren's portrayal of the Queen as Her Maj'.
He should have had the courtesy and respect to write Her Majesty'. As for the Blessed Blair'. Mmmm!
