On Saturday I travelled down Station Hill in Chippenham at 8.20am, and I could not believe it, as there were no cars parked on the left hand side and only five on the right. The new parking scheme in Chippenham actually seems to work!
I also notice the lack of queues caused by lorries which can now pull in onto double yellow lines and unload where they could not before.
We all know the town is a mess as far as parking goes but at least it does seem fairer now. The cars belonging to train commuters that were parked on Monkton Hill seem to no longer be there. As for Borough Parade, well, that's a different story...
