I read with interest the many letters about the chip and bin fiasco. Once again Kennet has got it all wrong.
The residents should have been consulted before any of this cloak and dagger business took place.
Kennet badly under-estimated public opinion. Now it seems the problem is escalating. Maybe a petition or a march is needed to get the message across.
Everyone in this area has accommodated the recycling scheme, but you still have to trek to the recycling centre, burning valuable fuel, when Kennet has huge refuse trucks capable of taking the cardboard and plastic.
I'm worried about people unable to get to the recycling centres. What are they to do?
Give people an incentive, for example a reduction in the ridiculous council tax for every load delivered to the recycling centre.
I'm sure heads will roll eventually. Even local government is not immune to criticism.
