Eminent horse dentist Bertram Abel-Smith has been banned from driving for 12 months after failing a breath test following a crash in Upavon.
Abel-Smith, 68, admitted drink driving when he appeared before magistrates in Devizes on Tuesday.
The court heard that Abel-Smith, of Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, had crashed his Subaru estate on the A342 on April 27. No other vehicle was involved. He was also fined £250 with £35 costs.
