ONE of Britain's leading experts on climate change is giving a talk at Marlborough Town Hall on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

Professor Brian Hoskins' latest predictions on major problems the world is facing due to climate change have made headline news this week.

Prof Hoskins is president of the International Association of Meteorology and Atmospheric Sciences and of the Royal Meteorological Society.

He is currently a member of the powerful Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

In October he will be giving the annual lecture at the international Climate Change Conference in Toronto.

One of his students at Reading University is Ben McDonald who is taking a PhD in meteorology and who has arranged Prof Hoskins visit to Marlborough.
