MICHAEL Ancram, MP and former Conservative Party chairman, went back to school on Friday. He was invited to the official opening of a new extension that has doubled the size of Easton Royal village school.
Mr Ancram was one of a number of guests who included former pupils and their parents.
The extension has provided the Victorian school with its first ever hall plus a new library.
But it came at a huge cost with the school and the community having to raise more than £45,000.
Headteacher Vivien swift said the success of the fundraising was largely due to the Friends of Easton Royal School.
