A 20-year-old man has died following a car crash at Dauntsey Lock, near Chippenham on Monday evening.
The man, from Lyneham, lost control of his black Honda Accord on the B4069 at Swalletts Gate Corner at around 6.30pm.
The vehicle left the road and collided with a telegraph pole before ending up in a field on its roof.
A second male in a separate vehicle has been arrested and is helping police with their enquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with any information should contact the central Roads policing unit at Chippenham Police station.
