Famous names from the world of cricket will be coming to Devizes next month to play a charity match.

Former England bowlers John Lever, Phil Defreitas and Devon Malcolm, Pakistani internationals Mohammad Akram and Saqlain Mushtaq and Australian all-rounder Ian Harvey have been confirmed in the line-up for the Lashings Cricket XI for the match at Devizes Cricket Club on Wednesday, August 24.

Test Match Special veteran Henry Blofeld will provide commentary.

The event is open to the public but there is also corporate hospitality on offer. Exclusive items and events are being auctioned to businesses who book tables at the event.

Business guests will also have the chance to nominate one of their party to play against the ex-international players.

Devizes brewers Wadworth & Co have already bought a corporate table and the company is offering seats around it as part of a prize draw.

General tickets are available at £5 a head in advance or £7 on the gate, which opens at noon. Under-14s enter free with a paying adult. There will be refreshments and the chance to get a photograph with and an autograph of a Lashings player.
