Young violinist Tobie Tripp of Market Lavington has won an award of £1,000 from Wiltshire Rural Music School. Tobie, the sixth young musician in the county to win the annual award, was presented with the cheque by music school chairman Glyn Bridges. Tobie, who goes to St Augustine’s RC School, Trowbridge, is to go onto the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

The award is open to talented young musicians living in Wiltshire who are looking to for a professional career in music.
