Dozens flocked to the Assembly Hall in Melksham on Sunday to pick up tips and ideas for their dream wedding.

Brides and bridegrooms-to-be attended the Gazette & Herald Wedding Fair, which featured exhibitors, including wedding planners, a luxury car hire firm, a cosmetics company, cake makers, jewellers, photographers and bridal dress shops.

Two half-hour fashion shows, organised by Wayne Palmer, of Wayne’s World of Fashion in Trowbridge, were held on the day.

Wedding fair organiser Sally Box said: “It was a very successful fair.

“The stands were kept busy throughout the day.

“The wedding companies exhibiting were taking bookings during the event and the photographers in particular were in demand.”

“We had a lot of positive comments about the variety of stands on offer and the fashion show, which gave visitors a good idea of what style would suit them and what colours best go together.”

The next wedding fair will be held in March. The venue is yet to be confirmed.
