In less than 12 months the ailing Royal British Legion Club and branch in Great Bedwyn has been turned round and become a huge success with packed events.
Sally Rhodes, who is on the committee that stepped in to breathe new life into the High Street club, said its popularity had been restored.
The next event is a fund raiser on Saturday with an auction at which David Harrison from the Jubilee Auction Rooms in Pewsey will be wielding the gavel.
It is taking place from 2pm in the legion club and, said Mrs Rhodes, any articles to be sold would be welcomed and she can be contacted on (01672) 870977.
Money raised will be shared between the refurbishment of the club and the new RBL rehabilitation centre for injured service personnel at Tidworth.
