Following an appeal in the Gazette for a new home, the Chippenham Toy Library is to be relaunched at Stanley Park on Saturday.
Chairman Abby Adamczuk revealed in August that the organisation would be forced to close this month if an alternative venue could not be found.
The library, which was set up in 1976, rented space at Parklands in Malmesbury Road, but Westlea Housing Association is closing the housing scheme, which it says is outdated, leaving volunteers with no choice but to find a new home.
Mrs Adamczuk said: “After the story in the paper we had two options – St Andrew’s Church or Stanley Park. We are so grateful to both but eventually we went for Stanley Park”
The relaunch will take place at 10am on Saturday. Children will be entertained not only with a range of toys, but face painting and balloon modelling too. The toy library opens on the first Saturday of each month.
