Devizes is destined to turn pink during the week of October 9 to 16 as more businesses sign up to raise cash for Cancer Research UK.

More than 60 shops, restaurants and other premises have agreed to dress their windows, and in some cases their staff, in pink for the week and to collect money for the charity.

All the businesses in Old Swan Yard have signed up and staff at nearby Sainsbury’s are joining in too.

Maria Gomez, of Cancer Research UK, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the response from the community.

“Most of the town centre will be going pink, as will all the businesses at the Old Potato Yard at Lydeway and Heads on High hair salon in Littleton Panell.”

The Green Dragon at Market Lavington and the Bridge Inn at West Lavington will be joining in as well.
