THE Avon Vale Pony Club performed outstandingly at the area 14 showjumping and horse trials held at Stourhead and Lambourn.
The senior showjumping team of Eve Campbell (Capability Brian), Emma Dodson (Crazy Bingo), Laura Toogood (The Fieldmaster) and Francesca Garton (Saracen Boy) finished with a score of eight faults, taking the title with one fence in hand.
At the senior area horse trials the blue team of Francesca Garton (Saracen Boy), Laura Toogood (The Fieldmaster), Lucie McNichol (Drayparcs Gabriel) and Emma Dodson (Crazy Bingo) comfortably won, with all team members winning their individual sections. The Avon Vale red team of Polly Campbell (Foxleigh Aladdin), Chloe Lee (Aylesland Boetus) and Alice Bromfield (The Arctic Fox) also produced faultless performances to end in second place.
Both these teams have benefited from being trained by Vicky Brake who will travel with these teams to Sansaw Park in Shropshire on August 22 to represent the area in the Pony Club National Championships.
