DANISH defender Kim Heiselberg insists the Town fans haven't seen the best of him yet.

The full-back is desperate to start against Walsall tomorrow (Saturday, August 26) and put behind him the nightmare of Exeter.

Heiselberg admits he did not perform well in the second half of Tuesday's disappointing 1-1 draw with the Grecians and now wants to put that right tomorrow.

I don't think anyone played the way they are capable of in the second half, he said. I think we should have stuck to the easy things instead of making life difficult for ourselves all of the time.

We've been working hard in training to make sure we get that first victory because that's what everybody needs before we really relax and start passing the ball the way we know we can.

We do it at training but when we start the match everybody starts to get nervous and things break down. We just have to work hard on getting it right.

The full back says the team is desperate to give the fans something to cheer after two draws and a defeat.

We have to show the fans that the support they are giving us at the moment is what we deserve, he said. They have been excellent so far but they are not going to stick around unless we improve.

It was a frustrating night for me and I have to be honest and say I had a nightmare in the last 15 minutes. A lot of crosses went behind the goal which was very disappointing because we were pressing to regain the lead.

It's something I practice in training and I know I can do it, but when you see the ball go behind the goal it's frustrating. I did it four times which makes it even worse.

He said it was important to learn from his mistakes.

When it goes wrong your head goes down and it just gets worse after that, he said. It's early days and the fans certainly haven't seen the best of me yet."
