COUNCILLORS often open them-selves to criticism.
But on the whole they go into the job because they care about our town, not for personal gain.
So it is with our mayor David Cox, who has proved himself a wonderful custodian of the ceremonial post.
He has shown again and again that he is willing to make a fool of himself to promote a good cause even if that means featuring on the front page of the Evening Advertiser dressed in drag!
Keep up the good work David, and good luck in your role as ugly sister in Thursday's panto!
