Wiltshire fire brigade were called to two separate accidents on the M4 within half an hour of each other.
At 8.15am on Saturday, two cars were in an accident between Membury Services and Swindon's junction 15. There were no reported injuries.
Then at 8.45am the brigade had to deal with a fuel spill on the eastbound slip road of junction 15.
