MINI-RUGBY: NEXT year's Chippenham Rugby Club Mini Festival will be held at Allington Field on Sunday, April 21.
The festival will have nine visiting mini sections, with the aim of raising funds for the improvement projects for the club's mini section and to raise the club's profile in the community.
Mini section chairman Jeremy Stafford-Smith said: "This season's Festival will be the last in the present format and style. It is our intention to split the Festival over two days in April 2003.'
The club hope to have at least 20 clubs in the seven to nine year old groups on the Saturday and then 20 clubs again on the Sunday for the 10 to 12 year olds.
Stafford-Smith added: "We intend to draw clubs from the South West region together.''
The club is relying a great deal of support from the club players and supporters and but are also looking for sponsors to help promote and stage the Festival.
