DANNY INVINCIBLE is neck and neck with Giuliano Grazioli in the Town goalscoring stakes but the Aussie hopes to edge ahead tomorrow.

While injury has conspired to prevent Graz from adding to his tally of six, Invincible has netted two in Town's last three games.

The 22-year-old is looking to top last season's total of 10 and with the halfway mark approaching, he is on course to reach that target.

He said: "I scored quite a few leading up to Christmas but seemed to struggle after that.

"Also, the goals tended to come together, a couple here and a couple there.

"I want to aim for double figures by Christmas but make sure they keep going in after that."

A chronic lack of goals almost proved fatal for the club last season. Invincible was the only Town player to reach double figures.

Gary Alexander, now scoring goals for fun at Hull City, was his only challenger with a measly seven.

In total, Town managed just 47, little better than a goal a game.

But Invincible is feeling sharp and wants to keep the goals flowing. He said: "It would be nice to overtake Graz against Huddersfield.

"But I think we've all got to get the goals, the strikers, the midfielders and defenders.

"Our total last season was nowhere near good enough and look how close we came to going down."

But the Australian knows the Terriers will be a tough nut to crack.

He said: "They are one of the sides tipped for promotion and we'll have to be sharp from the start.

"We've another busy period of games coming up and it would be great to go into them on the back of a good result tomorrow."
