People are being warned of the dangers of candles this Christmas.
The warnings are being issued as part of a campaign across the South West.
A recent in-depth survey carried out by Trading Standards Officers in Wiltshire looked into the safety of 50 different types of tea lights and 82 types of decorative candles and floral type candle decorations.
Tea-lights, or night lights as they are sometimes called, were found to be an especially dangerous hazard.
The metal base of one tea light reached 344oC hot enough to melt plastic.
