ROY EVANS has said he is 'open minded' about his Swindon Town future.

But the director of football is adamant he will make a swift decision and Tuesday looks like being make or break time.

Evans knows the immediate financial prospects are grim but he wants to know if there is light at the end of the tunnel.

He said: "I've had talks with the board, but what I want to know is whether there is the possibility of investment to take the team forward.

"Otherwise that would make things difficult.

"I don't think they're in a fantastic state to say they've got great investment for players. It's the long-term plan that I have to take into consideration.

"But we're talking, that's the main thing and hopefully we can sort something out by Tuesday.

"For the good of everybody, it needs sorting. We've had so much uncertainty for the last nine weeks or so.

"A decision needs to be made quickly and sensibly."

Evans said: "I'm still open- minded about the situation.

"I've enjoyed it here, working with a great bunch of lads.

"You feel you've started a job and you feel you have some scope to work with and there's a chance to take things forward.

"Against that I have got to look at what sort of backing is on offer.

"It's a double-edged sword really.

" Part of me says 'yes' and the players and fans have been fantastic but I still feel I have to do what is best for the club."

But Evans is going nowhere until after today's game with Huddersfield.
