CHIPPENHAM found themselves on the wrong end of a league record on Saturday 1 June.
They went down to a 107 run home defeat against Weston-super-Mare in the Stroud and Swindon West of England Premier League Division Two, with visiting seamer Andy Fear claiming five lbw dismissals, which is a league record.
The medium pacer broke up a promising first wicket partnership of 46 by trapping Mark Hunt in front of his stumps and quickly followed by dismissing fellow opener Jack Humphrys.
Nock Pocock, Richard Bates and Trevor Lloyd were also given out leg before as Chippenham collapsed to 101 all out, ten wickets going down for the addition of just 55 runs.
Fear finished with figures of six for 21 from 15 accurate overs.
Earlier Weston had reached 208 for eight in 50 overs, with brothers Paul and Richard Bates sharing the bowling honours for Chippenham. Richard finished with two for 49 off 12 overs, after a first spell of one for 21 from 11.

Despite a solid 50 from Jace Lawson, Chippenham were unable to complete the win and fell 60 runs short.
