I MAY be too late to put in my two cents worth but I am sick and tired of the animosity within the town towards the college, many of whom are Marlborough residents employed by the college.

There are many incidents of fireworks locally and also the disruptive noise nuisance of the Mop fair.

Coincidentally it appears that many thefts and deceptions occur around these times, many times after midnight.

I understand Mr Gould's reluctance for notoriety or publicity of evidence of activities at the college.

But are the citizens of Marlborough aware that £6,000 was raised by the college for the SSFA and an outstanding £50,000 raised by the students of the college some few weeks ago for five charities, subjects which are not boasted about or even given credit.

One very angry local Marlborough College parent.

(By the way they were the best fireworks we have seen in a long time.)
