JUNIOR FOOTBALL: A FIRST half goal by Bem-erton Heath Harlequins captain Charlie Young proved enough to settle the issue against Salisbury Juniors in their South Wilts Youth & Minor League under 11s match.

This local derby clash provided numerous thrills and spills with both goalkeepers in fine form.

Juniors' custodian Ben Gunn pulled off a stunning penalty save from heath's top scorer Lewis Hope.

In the under 12s League Salisbury Juniors put seven past Redlynch & Woodfalls without reply to maintain their 100-per-cent league record.

Having suffered a 12-0 reverse against them the previous week, Redlynch pressed forward and enjoyed the upper hand in the middle of the park until Salisbury scored against the run of play thanks to a Kristian Rees goal.

The goal was all that separated the sides until early in the second half when Will Hawkins doubled the lead. Stuart Wiltshire tapped in number three. Eddie Perrett, Mike Nicholson, Ricki Harrison and Matthew Goodman were also on target.

The club's HSA Youth League side also maintained their 100-per-cent record, beating Castle-down 4-0.

In the Badger League South Newton & Wish-ford's under tens shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Redlynch despite going behind to an early goal. Chris McNulty scored both of South Newton's goals.

Meanwhile, the club's under 12s ran out 14-2 victors against Amesbury. Josh Wilson led the scoring with five. Tom Mundy bagged four while Camer-on Blair (2), Josh Brown (2) and Brett Matthews were also on target.

HSA under nines champions Shrewton United completed their league campaign with a 4-1 win against Broughton which gave them maximum points for the season. Chris Sim (2), Tom Nicklen and James Dolma goals did the damage.
