SKURRAY'S WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: ONLY a handful of fixtures survived the weather, but those that did provided some exciting cup and league encounters.

Premier Division leaders Shrewton strolled to a 5-0 win over Aldbourne in the Corsham Print Senior Cup semi-final.

After a tight first 45 minutes when Aldbourne hit the bar, Shrewton broke the deadlock early in the second-half when Jessie Walters set up Sean Collins to score. Shrewton goal-machine Dean Foot then got in on the act, scoring twice.

Shrewton were forced to play out time with 10 men when Collins was injured soon after boss Stuart Withers used up all three of his substitutes, but Lee Burden made it 4-0 and Luke Kearley added a fifth goal late on.

It was also semi-final time in the Fountain Trophies Junior Cup.

Marlborough Town Reserves reached the final for the first time with a gripping 5-2 extra-time win over Wanborough United Reserves.

They are just seven points behind Dunbar after beating Sherston 3-2.

Two strikes from Paul Parsons and one from Richard Merchant saw Wanborough bounce back from a 2-0 deficit at the break to clinch all three points.
