HIGHWORTH is to host the national finals of the British Horse Society cross-country championships.
Whitworth Farm equestrian centre will be the venue for the event which will see riders compete over a three-mile course.
Competitors will be judged on their overall time and incur penalties for any faults in their jumping.
A final date has yet to be announced but the event will take place in late September.
BHS spokeswoman Kate Healey said: "The BHS cross country series has proved very popular since it began in 1999 and we are looking forward to many riders taking part this time."
