1978-1984 Even Swindon Junior School. Twice appointed as deputy head when deputy was seconded to acting headships. Promoted on first deputy head interview.

1984-1986 Penhill Junior School. Four terms as deputy head. Appointed as acting head when head moved to another school.

1986-1987 Headteacher at Moredon and then became pregnant.

1987-1994 Career break to bring up family.

1994-1995 Part-time job share class teacher with the headteacher at King William Street school.

1996-1997 Part-time job share class teacher post at Robert Le Kyng and supply work at schools within the town.

April 1998 Asked to work full-time to cover the deputy's class while he became acting head.

July 1998 Asked to become acting deputy. Interviewed for acting head initially for one term.

Sept 1998 Began acting headship. Asked to work for two terms instead of one.

March 1999 Appointed head of Robert Le Kyng at second interview, aged 47.

July 2001 Elected as vice chair for Swindon Association of Primary Heads.

June 2002 Suspended from headship over alleged assault.
