Wootton Bassett's second string could take centre stage at the club this weekend, as the first XV struggle to find a fixture.

Bassett have selected a first team in anticipation of a fixture, including skipper Taff Lock and Frenchman Florent Vialan.

Meanwhile, Gary Mander's understudies take a break from Merit League action and travel the short distance to Cricklade for what will be a well contested friendly fixture.

Mander sticks with the same pack that defeated Bournemouth last week, with the exception of the inclusion of Rob Pinchin at prop in place of Gary Zelley, who sits on the bench for the first team.

The back line also sees a shuffle with youngster Robert Bloxham moving to full-back and Jonny Spillane returning to his centre slot after a spell on the bench last week.

Wootton Bassett Veterans play their last game of the season and play host to Nationwide at Stoneover Lane on Sunday.

Bassett will be looking to avenge the 19-0 defeat they suffered back in January.

All veterans are asked to meet at the clubhouse for 1.30pm, with the game kicking off at 3pm.

Devizes pair Tom Collins and skipper James Gaiger have been selected for the forthcoming Dorset and Wilts County Championship Squad.
