THE fate of RAF Lyneham still hangs in the balance even though Prime Minister Tony Blair has praised the work of the base during the war with Iraq.
When questioned by North Wiltshire MP James Gray he seemed to suggest the base would be involved for many years to come but people at the base are trying not to get too excited until its future is officially confirmed.
Let's hope the powers that be continue to recognise its worth.
