Sports mad Kelli Salone had everything going for her a month ago. But now she has lost the love of her life and thieves have stolen her precious £4,500 motorbike

IT was a romantic tale to melt the coldest of hearts.

Swindon sports fanatic Kelli Salone went on a TV matchmaking programme looking for her Mr Right.

Kelli found her dream date on the show Would Like To Meet not a fellow contestant, as proposed. Kelli instead fell in love with the cameraman.

Sadly, in this case, true love didn't last. Kelli and her boyfriend, Oscar Challis, have now split up.

Oscar, 34, had recently moved in with Kelli. But they have now decided to go their separate way.

"I honestly thought he was the one for me. You spend so much time looking for the right person," said Kelli, 33.

"I just want to get on with things, I can't have too much bad luck."

Kelli's heartbreak has been compounded by the loss of another love in her life her £4,500 125cc motocross bike, which was stolen from a shed at her home in Hannington, near Highworth.

The theft might mean the end of her motocross career because she cannot afford to buy another bike.

She said: "This bike is the only thing in my life right now. When I am riding it I can lose myself for the day and focus on other things.

"It is a way of getting away from it all. I have been neglecting it because of Oscar."

Kelli, who works as a sales representative for a mountain bike firm, is well known in Swindon for her love of sports.

She was the town's first female boxer, a semi-professional mountain biker, a skydiver and used to play rugby for the Supermarine's Ladies Team.

She has also taken up combat fighting and her first bout is in Chippenham on Saturday, June 14.
