POLICE have re-appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist escaped with bruises after an incident with a car.

The woman, aged 35, was cycling along Cirencester Road in Cricklade when she fell off her bike to avoid the car.

She suffered bruises and a sprained wrist.

Inspector Craig Hill said: "The cyclist became aware of a vehicle following her for some time.

"Then she became aware that the vehicle had sped up in an attempt to knock her off."

The incident happened on April 16 at around 5.15pm.

Inspector Hill said officers were keen to hear from any witnesses and wanted to hear of any similar incidents. The car is blue with a square front and a flat bonnet.
