I AM sure many of your readers must be as concerned as I am about the Parliamentary Dictatorship that is steadily being imposed on the United Kingdom.
The Government with their unhealthy majority (for democracy I mean) and many MPs who lack 'Fire in their bellies' are all part of this drift.
This drift allows the Government, under the guise of modernisation, to take power away from Parliament and treat it with contempt.
A 9 to 5 Parliament with full-time MPs will be nothing less that than an elected Civil Service.
The traditions and ceremonies that are not understood by the layperson have been built up over the centuries and are part of the bulwark against the emergence of the tyrant.
Therefore, we the public, who are almost helpless as our protection is being manipulated away piecemeal have to turn to the Free Media to help us keep our very hard won democratic system.
May I ask you Mr Editor if encouragement could be given for your readers to send you (for publication) Questions that they would table to Ministers if they were MPs!
Perhaps that might start a fight back! AND perhaps the Public led by the Free Media can show the way!
